Jefferson County Fair | Arcum Clearspan Stage Coverage by JK Rentals
Arcum clearspan provided a weather-ready space for live music
With strong permanent infrastructure in place, the Jefferson County Fair needed flexible, weather-ready stage coverage to maximize programming. JK Rentals installed a 30m x 30m Arcum clearspan over the live music stage, protecting performances while freeing the grandstand for headline events and demolition derbies.
Project Overview
JK Rentals installed a 30m x 30m Arcum clearspan to create a dedicated covered stage footprint for live music programming. The structure provided a wide-open span suitable for production, lighting, and equipment setup while integrating cleanly into the existing fairgrounds layout.
By relocating music into the temporary structure, the fair maintained simultaneous programming across the site without sacrificing weather protection or schedule reliability.

Site Conditions & Logistics
Fairground installations require coordination with existing buildings, pedestrian routes, and vendor zones. The Arcum footprint was positioned to maintain safe backstage access, equipment movement, and clear public circulation while integrating with established traffic patterns across the site.
Build Highlights
A closer look at how the Arcum structure expanded programming capacity while protecting live performances.
30m x 30m Arcum
A wide-span Arcum clearspan created a dedicated, covered stage environment for music programming.
Grandstand Stays Open
Relocating music to the new structure kept the grandstand available for demolition derbies and other main events.
Weather-Ready Performances
Covered staging reduced exposure to wind and rain, helping maintain consistent show schedules.
Add-On Venue Capacity
The temporary structure functioned as an additional “building,” increasing usable programming space without altering permanent infrastructure.
Conditions & Challenges
Fair schedules operate on tight programming blocks with limited reset windows, requiring precise integration into the existing site layout. The structure needed to support production demands while maintaining safe access for performers, crews, and equipment. This was achieved through careful placement, clear circulation planning, and coordination with existing venue operations, allowing multiple event zones to run simultaneously without disruption.

System Additions
Concert and fair programming benefit from coordinated supporting infrastructure. Access systems, power planning, flooring, and crowd management elements help maintain safe backstage flow and efficient guest circulation within the stage footprint.
