Large-Scale Tension Tents for a Two-Day Corporate Event
JK Rentals partnered with Kohler Company for their annual Associate Picnic at Roosevelt Park, delivering multi-tent coverage for dining, activities, and vendors. High-capacity tension tents and supporting frame tents created shaded gathering zones for thousands while preserving a clean park footprint.
Project Overview
The build centered on two tension tents or high peak poles — 60ft x 80ft and 60ft x 180ft — creating expansive covered zones for food service, seating, and corporate programming. Additional 20ft x 20ft frame tents were positioned throughout the park to support vendor stations and operational functions.
All structures were fully staked into grass, with utility marking coordinated due to active power lines within the park footprint.
Site Conditions & Logistics
A flat grass surface allowed for efficient staking and layout, but utility markings required re-verification after park traffic shifted flags prior to installation. Elevated temperatures required pacing adjustments to maintain crew safety, while a telehandler supported material handling to keep the two-day build and one-day strike on schedule.
